Six paper murals by Fernando Robles, depicting popular scenes from a local bar, one of the "pulquerías" typical of Mexican social life during the Revolution. Robles' illustrations of skeletons dancing, drinking, and playing cards pay homage to the great Mexican engraver José Guadalupe Posada.
Artist's book bound as a single sheet, folded accordion style, with Robles' illustrations on one side and text on other side.
Accompanying bilingual text in Spanish and English by Claudia Burr; translation by Helen Mandri.
Illustrations on front and back endpapers, not included in pagination.
Issued in brown cloth boards, with title and author blind-stamped on upper cover; covers tied with brown grosgrain ribbon.
