Max Ernst "Inside the Sight" Rice University Museum 1973. The exhibit was organized, and all the art supplied by patron, collector, and curator Dominique de Menil. She and her husband John had been friends with Ernst for decades, and were leading patrons of the arts in Houston, thus the exhibit. This insider's view of the organization and installation of an exhibition was filmed by her son Francois and edited by her grandson. |
